hawaii_supreme_courtIn October 2011, Hawaii Supreme Court Chief Justice Mark Recktenwald announced the creation of a Judiciary Strategic Planning Committee, consisting of twenty-five Judiciary employees tasked to envision the role and operation of the Judiciary over the remainder of this decade and to develop proposals to achieve that vision. The Committee will present its recommendations to the Chief Justice by the end of this year.

Relatives of tragic mom Nazish Noorani, 27, wrested custody away from the parents of Noorani’s allegedly murderous husband, Kashif Parvaiz, 27.

“They will be happier here, I think,” said Kaleem Noorani, 29, one of Noorani’s brothers who won guardianship of little Shayaan, 3, and Riyaan, 6.

Topeka, Kan. — A mother said her daughter was taken away from her and she’s never been allowed her day in court to fight for her child. The woman’s story has now inspired lawmakers to look into what they can do to change the system.
