maui_farmSeabury Hall students (20 juniors) helped restore the Labyrinth Garden at The Maui Farm, a nonprofit organization.

The classmates worked on the service project Friday morning in Makawao.

Students restored the garden and prepared it to be planted with herbs, flowers and vegetables.

The produce grown in the garden will be shared with Women Helping Women and the Family Life Center, with any excess food being donated to Maui Food Bank.

In addition, the students planted a kukui nut tree and took part in animal husbandry activities.

The Maui Farm is a farm-based residential program that helps individuals and families transition to self-sufficiency. The workday was part of a schoolwide event that had Seabury Hall students from freshmen to seniors doing similar projects around the island in partnership with Community Work Day.
